Baked Pita Chips
Ingredients
- Pita Breads
- Olive or Canola Oil Spray
- Salt
- Pepper
Steps
- Adjust oven rack to middle position and heat oven to 350 degrees. Using kitchen shears cut around perimeter of each pita and separate into 2 thin rounds.
- Working with 1 round at a time, spray rough side evenly with oil spray and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Stack rounds on top of one another, rough sides up. Using chef's knife, cut pita stack into 6 wedges. Spread wedges, rough sides up and in single layer on rimmed baking sheet.
- Bake until wedges are golden and crisp, 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally and rotating sheet halfway through baking. Transfer sheet to wire rack and let chips cool slightly, about 10 minutes. Serve warm or at room temperature.
